England vs Pakistan 3rd Test Match Analysis 7 July 2017

    England vs Pakistan:

3rd day of the test match but it’s going so exciting that u can’t predict who is going to win this match. Both the teams are fighting really hard to win the match. Pakistan ended the day 3 at 214-8 and with a lead of 281 they are a bit on a happy side but still a lot of work to do for them. On the other hand, England fought back hard and didn’t gave Pakistan a lot of Runs. Chris Woakes did an excellent job and again got a fifer also got 11 wickets in the match so far. From Pakistan it’s the lower middle order who fought back hard and took Pakistan in a kind of stable position. Now it all depends upon how the pitch react which was looking rough and helped Moeen Ali who got 2 important wickets in the match.

Coming towards Pakistan who bowled well in the morning session and got England cheaply but the batsmen couldn’t do much and put Pakistan in a Panic situation and now they are aiming at least 233 so that they can get a lead of above 300 runs that will psychologically help them a lot. They still have 2 wickets left and Yasir Shah and Muhammad Amir are at the crease so we can expect another 20-30 runs from them. Pakistani bowlers also need to be much more accurate in their second innings if they really want to win the test match because they couldn’t do much in the first innings and only the leggie Yasir Shah did the whole work for the team but on the 4th day pitch will be quite rough and bowlers will get a lot of help their so Pakistan surely needs to bowl at right length to get English batsmen. Role of Mohammad Amir will be crucial as well as Yasir Shah who has done a tremendous Job in the first innings.

Coming towards the English side who fought back extremely well but still they need to display an excellent cricket to win this test match. First they need to get the last 2 wickets of Pakistan as soon as possible to get the minimum target for them. Anything above 300 will put a psychological pressure on them. English batsmen also needs to come in 4th innings with a proper plan as England never chase anything above 288 ever on this ground so they have to be very sensible in playing Yasir Shah and Muhammad Amir because these 2 can be very Handy. Alastair Cook needs to play a captain’s knock as he is the only batsmen who played confidently in the first innings and now that is what they required in the second Innings.

Pitch will be more rough than the 3rd day so Spinners will get much help there. Conditions will be dry and there is not much chances of rain. First session will be the key for this match.
