We are here in Delhi where the second Qualifier of this 9th edition of the Vivo IPL will be played and the winner will go to the final of the tournament to play against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The big match will be played between the Gujarat Lions who will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in all important clash. Match will be at a neutral venue, Feroz Shah Kotla Delhi where the eliminator was played. Match will live at your tv screens at 7:30 PM Pakistan Standard time.
Starting from the Gujarat Lions who did everything right but AB De Villiers have destroyed all their wishes of going into the final. They got Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and Shane Watson out early but couldn’t get AB De Villiers and he was enough to win the match single handedly for the RCB side. As Gujrat were the best side in the tournament so they have one more chance where they will have to face the inform Sunrisers Hyderabad but now it’s do and die as they can’t afford any defeat now. Gujarat as a whole is a very decent side but in batting they mostly relied on their openers. Aaron Finch, Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith has scored most of the runs for the team and the others couldn’t do much and they really need to click and have to take the responsibility in the middle order. In bowling the bowlers have done a very good job. The way Kulkarni bowled in the last match and the way he destroyed RCB top order it was amazing to watch and surely his confidence will be high for this match. Suresh Raina also need to be much smart in using his bowlers in exact time as he is not much experience but still he has done a pretty nice job so far. Gujarat will also have to take this in mind they have lost both times they played against SRH so that thing will psychologically put pressure on the Gujrat side.
Coming towards the Sunrisers Side who made a great comeback in the eliminator against KKR and won the match quite easily in the end. They so far have done a very nice job in the tournament and just to continue their form like that and surely will have an upper edge over Gujarat Lions as they have won both the time they played against them. Their top order played sensibly on a moving track and then in the end Yuvraj Singh played a cameo of 44 runs and helped Sunrisers to go towards a decent target. Their bowlers also done a very nice job for the team and they have been doing this from the start of the tournament. As a whole the credit also goes to their captain David Warner who has led his side from the front and looked very smart in using his bowlers. In bowling Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mustafizur Rahman have been outstanding in the death overs and if they continue like this they have a big chance of making it into the finals.
Coming towards the pitch of Delhi which was typical Delhi pitch and was helping a bowlers and we will expect a same pitch for this match. So far there is no rain forecast for the match.
