South Africa vs England Live
Let’s First talk about the English side who was looking one of the best side of the group 1 but they couldn’t perform up to the expectations. They couldn’t put enough runs on the board and then Gayle storm totally demolished their bowling attack by scoring a blistering 100 of just 41 deliveries. England have a very decent side but they always struggled in the Asian conditions. English batsmen started off well but they couldn’t end it well and their lower middle order batsmen including Ben stokes Eoin Morgan and Jos Butler all haven’t finish it well against the weak bowling attack of Windies. So they surely have to work at that and against strong bowling attack they surely have to play well. Their bowlers also couldn’t bowl well and gave a lot of room and easy deliveries to Gayle and Samuels which both of them made full use it. So they need some really hard work against a top quality side. English side will now have to go really hard on the African side if they want to survive in the tournament otherwise it will be an if and but situation for them and that will really shatter their confidence. The plus point for them is they have played at Mumbai and they knew the conditions and that can be really good for them.
Now let’s talk about the African side who always remained brilliant in the group stages and they really never cared about the condition and now once again they will start their tournament by playing against a nervous English side who lost their first match and now play against Africa for their survival. South Africa have really great side with A B Devilries and Hashim Amla at the top in the middle order they have some really classical batsmen who have a lot of experience of playing IPL here and all of them can be very good at these condition. David Miller, JP Duminy will be the key for them. In bowling they have Dale Steyn and Rabada who both are very impressive and can be very handy in Asian conditions so in short Africa is a very balanced side and u can say they will be favorites against the English side but they can’t take England an easy side because they have played 1st match here and knows the conditions quite well.
Pitch of Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai is a batting heaven wicket and anything less than 200 will be chased. So any team who wins the toss surely go for the bat first and go for the chase.
